Quick answer: You can use AI fully in Nepali. AiFevo replies in the language and script you write in, so Devanagari gets Devanagari, Roman Nepali gets Roman Nepali, and English gets English. You can also speak your question with the microphone and have answers read aloud, and switch models if the Nepali feels unnatural.

Most of us don’t write Nepali in only one way. A school assignment might be in Devanagari, a quick message to a friend in Roman Nepali (“k cha, khana khayau?”), and a work email in English with a few Nepali words mixed in. A good AI assistant should keep up with all of that.

This guide shows how to get the most out of AI in Nepali, and how AiFevo handles each way of writing.

AiFevo replies the way you write

The simplest rule: AiFevo answers in the language and script you use.

  • Write in Devanagari, and you get an answer in Devanagari.
  • Write Nepali in English letters, and the answer comes back in Roman Nepali too.
  • Write in English, and it replies in English.

The same works for Hindi. You can switch in the middle of a conversation, and it follows you.

Try it: “malai Pokhara ma 2 din ghumna ko lagi plan banaidinu, budget ma” gets you a Roman Nepali travel plan. Ask the same thing in Devanagari and you get it in Devanagari.

Writing in Devanagari

Devanagari is best when the result needs to look formal: an application letter, a notice, a school answer or a social post for a Nepali audience.

Tips for better Devanagari answers:

  1. Say who it’s for. “विद्यालयको प्रधानाध्यापकलाई बिदाको निवेदन लेखिदिनुहोस्” gives a much better letter than “निवेदन लेख्नुहोस्”.
  2. Ask for the tone. Formal (औपचारिक) or friendly (अनौपचारिक) changes the wording a lot.
  3. Check names and numbers. AI can make mistakes with spellings of places and people. Read the final text before you send it.

Writing in Roman Nepali

Roman Nepali is fast to type on any keyboard, and it’s how many of us chat every day. AiFevo understands it, including common short forms and spellings that differ from person to person (“chha”, “cha”, “xa”).

When Roman Nepali works best:

  • Quick everyday questions: “chiya ma kati chini halnu ramro?”
  • Brainstorming: “mero cafe ko lagi 10 ota naam suggest gara”
  • Explaining something simply: “photosynthesis lai sajilo bhasa ma bujhau”

If you want the answer in Devanagari even though you typed in Roman letters, just say so: “Devanagari ma lekhdeu.”

Mixing Nepali and English

Code-mixing is completely fine. “Mero CV ko summary professional English ma lekhdeu, tara simple rakhnu” works well, because it tells the AI exactly what you want: the output language (English), the style (professional but simple) and the task (a CV summary).

Speaking instead of typing

Typing in Devanagari on a phone can be slow. The microphone button next to Send lets you speak your question instead.

  • In Chrome, Edge and Safari, your words appear in the box as you speak.
  • You can choose Nepali, Hindi or English for the microphone, so it listens for the right language.
  • In other browsers, AiFevo records your question and turns it into text when you tap the mic again.

You can edit the text before you send it, which is handy for fixing a name the microphone misheard.

Listening to answers

Every answer has a Read aloud button. AiFevo picks a Nepali, Hindi or English voice based on the text. The voices come from your phone or computer, so how natural they sound depends on your device.

Which model is best for Nepali?

Models differ in how well they handle Nepali. In AiFevo:

  • Super Fevo chooses a model for each question for you, and is a good default.
  • Gemini models are strong in Nepali and Hindi.
  • Some models are better in English than in Nepali. Their description in the model picker tells you.

If an answer’s Nepali feels unnatural, switch the model from the picker and ask again. Your question stays in the conversation.

A few prompts to try

  • “SEE ko lagi Nepali byakaran ko 10 ota MCQ banaidinu, answer sanga.”
  • “मेरो सानो पसलको लागि फेसबुक पोस्ट लेखिदिनुहोस्: दशैं अफर, २०% छुट।”
  • “Yo English email lai sajilo Nepali ma translate gardeu: …”
  • “Explain compound interest in simple Nepali with an example in rupees.”

Frequently asked questions

Does AiFevo understand Roman Nepali, not just Devanagari?

Yes. You can type Nepali in English letters, including common spelling variations like “chha” or “cha”, and AiFevo understands it and replies the same way unless you ask for Devanagari instead.

Can I switch between Nepali and English in the same chat?

Yes. AiFevo follows the language and script of your most recent message, so you can ask one question in Devanagari and the next in English, and it adapts each time without you changing any setting.

Which AI model is best for Nepali answers?

It varies by question, and the description in the model picker tells you what each one is tuned for. Super Fevo is a reasonable default since it picks a model for you; if an answer’s Nepali feels unnatural, switch models from the picker and ask again.

Can I speak my question in Nepali instead of typing?

Yes. The microphone button next to Send lets you choose Nepali, Hindi or English and speak your question, and you can edit the text it produces before sending.

Is there a cost to using AI in Nepali?

No extra cost beyond your plan. Nepali, Hindi and English all work the same way on every AiFevo plan, including the Free plan, which needs no card to start.

Start in your own language

You don’t need to switch to English to get good help from AI. Create a free AiFevo account, and write your first question the way you’d normally write it.

If you’re studying, AI for students in Nepal has exam-ready prompts. For work, the prompt guide for professionals helps you brief the AI well. And when you want a paid plan, paying with eSewa, Khalti or your bank shows every step; the plans themselves are on the pricing page.
